The Vermont Legislature passed a statute requiring the Department of Labor to
track the wage earnings of participants in VPT and WETF workforce training
programs. The purpose of this tracking is to provide a partial measure of the
success of these programs over time. To achieve this mandate, grantees are
required to provide a list of participants and related information including
social security numbers.
This information will be handled with strictest confidence and security. No
personal information will be published or revealed. Reports will be generated
that aggregate wage earnings as a measure of program success.
